Davis pleased with his form

Western Australian batsman Liam Davis believes that his confident approach and greater mental strength are the prime reasons behind his new-found success.
Davis has been a bit-part player for the Warriors in the past four seasons but he has evolved into a key performer for WA this season. He recently made 230 not out against New South Wales and once again confirmed his status of an elite performer for Western Australia.
South Australia are 1.90 to get the win in the Ryobi Cup final against Tasmania, who themselves are 1.90 to emerge victorious.
His form has improved so much this season that people can't help but enquire about the changes he has made to his game. But to everyone's surprise, the 27-year-old says that his batting technique is still pretty much the same apart from some minor adjustments.
"I've only made a few minor changes, it's just the mentality. All I'm trying to do now is play the game as it is at that point and really try to get involved in the game by staying focused on what I have to do at any particular time," Davis said.
"In the past I've been getting caught up in my own performance too much. Now I'm trying to focus on just thinking about the game and enjoying being out there."
