Klinger determined to end trophy drought

South Australian skipper Michael Klinger has said that his team's home advantage should prove crucial in their Ryobi Cup final against Tasmania Tigers on Saturday.
The Redbacks earned the right to host a home final by defeating Victoria Bushrangers by 48 runs at Adelaide Oval recently.
Klinger played a starring role in that match by smashing a magnificent ton and then said that the Ryobi Cup final at their home stadium would be a memorable event in the history of South Australian cricket.
"We certainly came into the game desperate to win because we've played some really good cricket at the Adelaide Oval this year and we really wanted to host the final. We've won all four games there this year and to get on top that was what we were after, so really happy," Klinger said on Saturday.
Last time South Australia won the Ryobi Cup, the year was 1987, and now that the region's trophy drought has stretched to more than two decades, Klinger is determined to finally bring glory for their fans.
"Up until last year it was a fair time that we won any silverware and obviously this year our Shield season hasn't been going anywhere near according to plan. To get a one-day trophy will be really fantastic for the group, and to win one out of the two competitions makes the whole season look a bit better anyway," Klinger added.
South Australia are 1.90 to get the win in the Ryobi Cup final against Tasmania, who themselves are 1.90 to emerge victorious.
