Clijsters ends Wozniacki's reign

Kim Clijsters remains on course for a successful defence of her Australian Open crown after a straight sets win over Caroline Wozniacki in the quarter-finals.
Clijsters ran out a 6-3 7-6 winner in Melbourne to end Wozniacki's bid for a first Grand Slam title and also ensure that the Dane will no longer be world number one come the end of the tournament.

Clijsters, who is now 4.00 to take the title, faces third seed Victoria Azarenka in the last four, with the Belarusian coming from a set down to overpower Agnieszka Radwanska 6-7 6-0 6-2.
Azarenka, who is also seeking her first major crown, said after making progress: "I am a year older and wiser, so I take it step by step, play every point and give the best I can and the result will be the result."
Azarenka, who is 4.00 to be crowned Australian champion, trails Clijsters 4-2 in their head-to-head match-up, but the two women have never met at a Grand Slam tournament.
Clijsters is 2.05 to reach the final at the expense of Azarenka, with Azarenka 1.83 to end the Belgian's reign as champion.
The other two quarter-finals will be played on Wednesday, with Maria Sharapova facing Ekaterina Makarova and Petra Kvitova taking on Sara Errani.
